The parade through Tahoe City Saturday was a Festival favorite as well, with many local organizations participating. It will be repeated in Kings Beach on Saturday, March 11th at 11:30am.

On Wednesday, March 8th from 12pm-7pm, Truckee River Winery on Brockway in Truckee will host Wine and Ice. This annual ice carving competition is a fun time. You can watch local ice-carvers transform huge blocks of ice into art while enjoying the music of DJ Chango. More information is available at

Other upcoming highlights include the Blake Beeman music festival at Blue Agave on Thursday March 11 from 7-9pm, the Bridgetender Ribfest Friday March 10 from 5-9pm, and a pancake breakfast before the parade in Kings Beach at the North Tahoe Events Center from 8:30-10:30 am. The final day of the festival is Sunday, March 12, and will feature a snow sculpture contest. Teams need to register in advance, and the $10 entry fee includes a meal and a beer.
