Truckee River Rafting offers Rafting on the Truckee Through Labor Day 2017

The huge snowfall of 2017 has led to the high lake level, and will allow the rafting from Tahoe City to run through Labor Day. Truckee River Rafting has a full service operation to give you a wonderful and relaxing day on the river. They are located at 55 W. Lake Blve., Tahoe City. For reservations call 530-583-1111. http://www.truckeeriverrafting.com/index.php

The check in process is easy and efficient. Once you have finished and are ready to roll (or float!), you proceed through the well stocked little store, where you can get snacks, apparel, and the much recommended dry bag, as well as a variety of other fun and useful items. They will take a picture of your group to provide a nice, professional quality momento of your day should you choose to take it home. You will then be ready to begin a fun and restful float as you meander down the Truckee River enjoying the beautiful scenery. You will pass a couple 'party beaches', and see some of the most amazing cliffs you have ever seen.

Two of the owners, Jen Courcier and Ryan Bell, are pictured here enjoying a break after a busy day of check-ins. They, along with the other owners, Richard Courcier and Joyce Bell, are almost always on hand to make sure their customers have the best possible experience.

You can bring your own coolers, and dogs are welcome. Mountain Air runs shuttles from Tahoe City and River Ranch, where your trip down the Truckee ends. Parking is available at both ends. At River Ranch you can enjoy delicious burgers and other offerings on the patio as you watch other rafters navigate the 'rapids'!

So come on out and enjoy the last couple weeks of summer, with visitors and locals alike. It's almost as much fun to people-watch as it is to take in the lovely scenery. They are open daily from 8:30-3:00 with the last day of operation Monday, September 4th (Labor Day)...so plan your outing soon!
