Happy Valentine's Day! Here in North Lake Tahoe there are many ways to make your day a special one, even if you haven't planned ahead.

Tahoe has many great businesses, restaurants and activities to celebrate your Valentine's Day here. It is a popular holiday, especially for dining out, so it is wise to plan ahead with a reservation. Many will choose to celebrate over the upcoming holiday weekend, and our next post will feature events happening this weekend.

For those of you looking for a more spontaneous meal in a romantic setting, grab some warm clothes and a picnic basket and head to West Shore Market. This is a great place to pick up a variety of delicious items, and take them to one of our beautiful outdoor areas for a winter picnic. The market has a deli with made to order sandwiches, a small produce section, pastries, Kombucha, coffee, and a large selection of beer and wine. Once you have gathered your feast, you can walk over to Sunnyside Beach, a public beach with tables near the water, or make the short drive to Commons Beach, another nice place to picnic and enjoy the beautiful scenery and lake views. There are benches and tables there as well to enjoy your meal, and the snow covered beach is delightful. The weather is cool but clear today, perfect for enjoying this beautiful Valentine's Day!
