Blues Monsters at Northstar Saturday, April 8th

The Blues Monsters will be rocking the Village at Northstar on Saturday, April 8th from 2-5 pm. This group of talented musicians has delighted fans for over 20 years in the North Lake Tahoe and Reno area. They have a magical blend of funk, jazz, R&B, and blues, and have shared the stage with many music legends such as Stephen Sills, Kenny Loggins, Neal Schon, and Bo Diddley, and performed with bands such as Pablo Cruise, Whitesnake, Credence Clearwater, and The Drifters.

Chuck Dunn is lead vocalist and guitar master. He has been singing since he was 5, took up guitar at 17, and has been playing ever since. His personality and flair shine and he lights the stage with his presence.

Tom Barnes began his love affair with music early as well, taking up guitar at the age of 10.  A few years later he picked up bass guitar, and traveled the country honing his skills for many years before founding this group with his bandmates.

Barry Slayton on lead guitar and vocals brings another layer of depth to the group, and is known as the "Music Man" of the group. He also performs with local favorite Groove Foundry, and has an incredible range, perfecting both covers and originals effortlessly.

Micheal Overhauser on drums and vocals adds a beat that gets fans to their feet. When keyboard player Terry Ogg joins in you can't help but get up and dance.

The Blues Monsters will also be at Alpine Meadows on the Sundeck April 15th from 1:30 - 4:30, and will open Bluesdays at Squaw on Tuesday, June 13th, 6-8:30. The opening date for Commons Beach will feature them as well on June 18th. Find out more about them at http://www.bluesmonsters.com
