Summer kicks off tonight at Squaw with Tuesdays Bluesdays featuring Blues Monsters and Groove Foundry

Squaw Valley will kick off the summer fun with the opening night of Tuesdays Bluesdays June 13th in the events plaza. This free concert series is one of the highlights of the season. Chairs will be set out for your enjoyment, and  booths from Village restaurants offer a variety of food and drinks. This is a family and dog friendly venue as well.

The opening show tonight show will be a special one, with two area favorites combining their talents to bring a wonderful mix of sounds to fill the cool summer night air and get the crowd moving. The dance area will be full when this group plays, the beat one that propels people to their feet.

The Blues Monsters are the featured act, with their signature Rock-n-Blues, R&B. The band includes Chuck Dunn (Guitar and Lead Vocals), Barry Slayton (Lead and Slide Guitar), Thomas Barnes (Bass), Micheal Overhauser (Drums), and Terry Ogg (Keyboard). Joining the band tonight will be the horn section from Groove Foundry, another local favorite. Powerhouse tenor sax Todd Mather will bring his stylish sizzle to the stage, while stunning Jen Campbell's trumpet rises and blends. Brian Nakagawa, with his fashionable wardrobe, adds his low brass trombone. This trio has performed with The Blues Monsters on numerous occasions, and these shows are always special and memorable.
