About the Tahoe Park Association

the Lake Tahoe Park Association

When considering amenities in purchasing your Lake Tahoe retreat, no other HOA provides the charm and desirability of the Lake Tahoe Park Association (TPA.) Located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, it was established in 1938 to manage the beachfront property at 1700 Sequoia Avenue in Tahoe Park.

The Park is exclusively for the property owners located in the one square mile known as Section 13, T-15N R-16E, of the Mount Diablo Base and Meridian.  When property is purchased in the Tahoe Park area, an interest in the Association is also acquired.

When a property is sold, this interest transfers to the new owner.  Membership is only available to property owners and cannot be purchased separately. The Tahoe Park Association offers members wonderful beach and boat amenities away from the crowds.

Some outstanding features and amenities that TPA provides include:

Private Beach Access: Many associations in the Lake Tahoe region have private beach areas or beach access points for their members. TPA offers facilities such as picnic tables, grills, piers, buoys and recreation areas. However, the beach is one of the best in all of Lake Tahoe. Members enjoy exclusive use of the white sand beach away from the crowds of Lake Tahoe.

Buoys: 41 Boat buoys are available to members through a lottery to select slots for either the early or late part of the summer season.  The period goes from opening day until July 30th and again until October.

Volley Ball: A sand volleyball court is located at the south entrance and is available to members.

Bocce Ball: Two bocce ball courts are available to members and equipment can be rented at the staff shed.

Piers: There are two piers available to members. One is located at the north end of the park and the other is located near the south entrance.

Kayak Racks: At the south end of the Park are racks for kayak storage during the warm season. The racks are for members and by registration with the staff in the beginning of the season. This offers a great way to store your small watercraft.

Playground:  Children will love the playground in a protected and fenced area. It is available during the warm months for family use.
